Features and Benefits:

Completely Automatic Espresso & Coffee Brewing

Love espresso but have a busy schedule? Hate to clean up? This is your machine.  Just press the button and the V’Spresso will automatically grind your coffee beans, and dispense freshly brewed, rich and flavorful coffee into your cup. This machine allows you to choose the volume, strength, and temperature of your coffee by simply pressing buttons on the control panel. Then it cleans up and is ready for the next order, in less than 30 seconds.

Press the brew button once for a single espresso or coffee. Pushing the brew button twice quickly will put a double shot of espresso or coffee in your cup. Utilize the enormous flexibility of the this machine’s programming options by varying the water volume up to 12 ounces and the ability to use up to 9 grams of ground coffee per brewing cycle. By experimenting with the water volume and grams of ground coffee you can fine-tune your coffee and easily program these parameters into the memory. Take it one step further by programming the coffee temperature for the ultimate cup of coffee. However, feel free to utilize the factory settings as well if you wish.

Multi-Function Digital Screen

It’s good to keep tabs on your machine. With a quick glance at the digital screen, you’ll see all the functions and options. Do you want to brew one cup or two? Is your machine in the automatic rinsing or cleaning cycle? Is it grinding or brewing? It’s all on the readout display. This versatile machine is also multilingual and can be programmed in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, or Dutch.

On-Screen Functions:

  • Program your favorite language.
  • Select just the right temperature from Minimum, Low, Medium, High and Maximum.
  • Set up the cup size you’d like for each brewing cycle to small, medium or large, or any volume in between.
  • Monitor the number of cups you brew in a day.
  • Set the machine to turn itself off after 15 minutes or up to 3 hours of non-use.
  • Set a warning signal telling you when the machine needs to be cleaned.
  • Select the automatic rinsing and de-scaling function.  (Good maintenance insures top working order and prevents mineral deposits and lime scale from accumulating in the boiler and brewing systems, a major cause of mal-functions!)
  • Tell the coffee warmer to turn on or off.
  • Plus many other features.

Hot Water Dispenser & Rapid-Steam®Technology

We’re all steamed up about Saeco's patented Rapid-Steam® system! Turn the steam knob and have instant steam you want for cappuccinos or lattes. Other systems can have you waiting up to 45 seconds for the steam function to be ready but not with Rapid-Steam®; you’ll have consistent steam for repeated drinks.

An optional frothing tip for adding milk froth comes with the machine and delivers perfect foam every time for lattes or cappuccinos, even if you have never foamed milk before! The steam wand is located on the left-front of the machine and it accommodates frothing pitchers up to 32 oz. If you need instant hot water for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos, the hot water feature is available at the press of a button.

Three Pre-Set Buttons for Cup Size Selection

Getting a great cup of your favorite coffee is as easy as one, two, three. Press a button for a single or double shot of espresso. You can brew a small, medium, or large cup of coffee and vary the strength to your taste. Just press the button and within 30-40 seconds you will be enjoying a perfect beverage.

Espresso or Fresh Brewed Coffee By The Cup

Ready to move to connoisseur status? Then try making a Café Créme! It’s simple with the V’Spresso’ ability to adjust for the coarseness of the ground, allowing you to brew a Café Créme, often referred to as Swiss brewed coffee for the country that made it popular. Here’s the difference. Espresso uses a finer ground bean to create a dense pack that restricts the water flow through the grounds, hence the very strong, intense flavor.  It also takes a little longer to brew, anywhere between 15 to 20 seconds for 1.5 ounces.

For a Café Créme, (or crema coffee) a courser ground is needed, a simple adjustment on this great machine. This coarser ground allows for more water to pass through faster, resulting in a frothy layer of coffee that floats on the top: the crema.  Aromatic and rich, it is not as intense a coffee as the espresso but equally delicious. This feature also makes the V’Spresso a natural replacement for traditional coffee makers.

Special Pre-Ground Coffee Funnel

This option allows you to pour pre-ground coffee into a funnel that is accessed by lifting a small lid on top of the machine. This feature is perfect when there is someone in the crowd who wants a decaffeinated espresso and there are only caffeine espresso beans in the machine, or if you wish to sample other blends of coffee. After making a cup of coffee with the pre-ground option, the machine automatically resets back to the beans held in the machine. It’s all up to taster’s choice.

Coffee Strength Function

The V’Spresso has a feature that will allow you to adjust the amount of coffee to be ground for each individual cup. Adjust it from 6 grams (- sign) to 9 grams (+ sign) to change the strength of the coffee.  7 grams of ground coffee is the usual amount for espresso, 9 grams is used for coffee.

Special Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle

Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the brewing process. This advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the internal V’Spresso coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. Next comes “pre-infusion.”  To optimize the flavor extraction, a special step injects a little hot water into the freshly ground coffee, in order to soak it and let it swell up. This is done just before the actual brew cycle commences. The grounds are pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded automatically into the internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.

Professional Quality Coffee Grinder

Proper grinding is at the core of excellent coffee production. The V’Spresso has a built-in, conical type burr grinder, the same type used by the professionals. Pushing the brew button sets the cycle in motion with the grinder measuring out the correct amount of beans for the selection made and then grinding it to specifications.

Conical burr grinders are made up of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns slow enough not to burn the coffee beans, (a problem with low cost grinders). The heavy-duty steel of the grinding wheel promotes a life of long service and that’s strong enough to resist damage from the little stones that sometimes slip in with the beans.  This durable construction is consistent with top quality machines and little or no maintenance or service is needed.

Built-in 67 Ounce Water Tank

The V’Spresso water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is still on the machine or by removing it with the easy-grip handle and filling it at the kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a breeze. When the water runs low, the digital display will remind you when to refill it.

For Perfect Coffee Extraction - a Powerful Pump

Delivering a maximum pressure of 15 bars, this on board water pump pulls the maximum flavor from the coffee beans.

Coffee Bean Storage Hopper & Internal Dump Box

Keeping ½ pounds of beans fresh and ready for grinding is the built in, lidded coffee bean hopper. This large capacity allows up to 30 cups of coffee to be prepared before refilling is needed.

When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal dump box; which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. It’s easy to remove and clean.

Cup Count

Inquiring minds are dying to know how many cups of espresso you’ve brewed in a day or a week or a month. It’s fun to see the number of drinks your machine has produced, but it also serves to alert you to maintenance and even financial data if it’s being used in an office.  Just how many cups of coffee are your employees drinking each day?

Stainless Steel Boiler

The V’Spresso is special, as it is one of the very few fully automated coffee centers in this price range that features a 1250 watt stainless steel lined thermoblock boiler.

Adjustable Beverage Dispensing Nozzle

This coffee dispensing nozzle moves up or down to accept cup sizes up to 4 inches high.

Heated Cup Stacking Surface

Located on the top of this machine is a heated surface made of non-stick metal that allows you to stack up those espresso cups and keep them toasty. Using the on-screen functions, you can turn this feature on or off.

Swivel Base

Getting into your espresso machine for cleaning and maintenance is important for the long life of your machine. The swivel base makes it easy to access all sides of your machine to remove the water tank and open the side service door. This feature eliminates the need to move or pick up your machine.

Cleaning & Maintenance of Components

In order to keep the inside of your machine healthy, your machine must be cleaned periodically.  Scale buildup from naturally occurring minerals in your water can build up on sensitive components like the inside of the boiler, which left unchecked can cause considerable damage to the machine. By descaling your machine every two-three months, your machine will last for many trouble-free years. Saeco espresso machine cleaner can be purchased from us or by calling the support number in your user guide.

The machine will tell you when it’s time to activate the self-clean system by displaying a message on the digital screen. After adding our cleaner, just press the clean button. The machine will take it from there.  Descaling and general cleaning is important even if you have a sophisticated water filter system, and especially if you use well water.

Used coffee grounds are collected in the grounds dump box, which can hold up to 15 spent portions of coffee before emptying is required, and a message will appear on screen to let you know it needs to be emptied. Waste water left over from the rinsing cycles is stored in removable drip tray that simply pulls out from the machine and reinsert is seconds.

All components such as the used grounds container, drip tray, and water tank can be hand washed with regular soap and water.

Removable Internal Brew System – Cleanup Is Easy

The patented removable internal brewing system (brew group) has been tested millions of times throughout the world. It only takes a simple gesture for it to be quickly and easily removed from the machine and cleaned. Just rinse it under running water to remove all traces of dirt and coffee residues, which when left inside the machine, change the flavor of the coffee and interfere with the correct functioning of the brew group.  In this way, the quality of the finest espresso never alters.

Installation & Accessories

Plug it in and the V’Spresso is ready to go.  No fuss, no muss, no special plumbing for water intake or discharge and no special electrical outlets are required. Detailed instructions on the optimum care and operation of your machine is included with the purchase along with a brewing group maintenance tool, and a coffee grinder cleaning brush.
